If the first game of the defending champions FUT Minna is anything to go by, they would have a really hard time defending their championship title. They lost by 39 points to Ahmadu Bello University.
ABU outplayed and dominated the boys from FUT Minna in all four quarters of the game. Their shooting percentages were better; 53% - 42% on 2Pt field goals, 57% - 45% from the free throw line and 30% - 20% three point shots. They were also better on rebounds, both on offense and defense.
Four of the ABU players finished with double digits points. Adamu Itopa (18pts, 10 rebs) and Emmanuel Nwaneri (13pts, 11 rebs) finished with double double.
