The Elephant Girls of First Bank have qualified for the Semi Finals of the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women after defeating Kenya Port Authority 84-63 in the quarter final game played earlier today.
It was a close first quarter which ended 20-19 in favour of the Elephant Girls but they pulled away in the second and third quarters leading with as much as 22 points. Dominique Wilson (26p/6r/5a), Nkechi Akashili (24p/1a) and Cecilia Okoye (10p/4r/1a) emerged as top performers for First Bank.
They will play their semi final game tomorrow by 4.45pm against either Equity Hawks or Primeiro d’Agosto.
